“Elks Feeding Empty Little Tummies” in Manatee County

 “Elks Feeding Empty Little Tummies” in Manatee County

This fall we are increasing to over 800 homeless and food deprived children ages 5 through 12 and need your help with food

 Greetings;
I recently had a discussion with a Principal at one of the schools we provide weekend food and found out that many more of their students are going hungry over the weekend.  In fact, after we deliver the backpacks, they have kids line up and when the food is gone, the rest go away with nothing.  That broke my heart and I immediately increased the volume from 236 to 300 to provide for all food deprived children in that school.  That will get expensive and we need your help.

On September 1, 2015, starting at 12:00 p.m. noon, there is opportunity for anyone to donate to E.F.E.L.T.  It is called the “Giving Challenge” and runs until September 2, 2015 at 11:59:59 a.m.  During that time period the following web site will be live for donations involving over 400 not-for-profit organizations.
The minimum donation is $25 and only major credit and/or debit cards are accepted.  There is no phone calls, no checks and all donations up to $250 are matched by the Patterson Foundation.  Furthermore, the organization with the most “new” donations, number of donations, not total dollar, will win $10,000!! That would provide enough food for 100 children for the entire school year!  Please log on and donate to “Elks Feeding Empty Little Tummies”.

Thank you
Jeff Mitchell
